AZURA was inspired by a personal experience of Ariane Plaisance, a Canadian community health doctor specializing in the management of death and dying in Western society and trained as an End-of-Life Doula. Read the story.
It's a fact that an increasing number of American elders are seeking affordable housing alternatives while looking for a personalized end-of-life experience. Think of the millions out of the healthcare system in the USA and also the long-haul travellers disconnected from their home countries.
We are deeply passionate about ensuring equitable care for all. Together we can build an international compassionate community dedicated to supporting elderly individuals in their final years as well as the local community, especially women.
